Thank you for choosing to be part of our community at RadioHub ("we", "us", or "our"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy.
When you use our mobile application (the "App"), we appreciate that you are trusting us with your information. This Privacy Policy outlines what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it to provide you with the best radio streaming experience.
1. Information We Collect
To provide and improve the RadioHub service, we collect the following information:
Location Data
RadioHub requests access to your device's location data. We use this information exclusively to:
- Determine your current location.
- Automatically sort and display radio stations that are nearest to you.
We do not store a permanent history of your movements, nor do we sell your location data to third parties. Your location is processed locally or temporarily to facilitate the "nearest station" feature.
Usage Data
We may collect anonymous data on how you interact with the App (e.g., stations listened to, bookmarks saved, features used, and crash logs). This data is non-personally identifiable and helps us troubleshoot bugs and improve the app's performance and user interface.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To provide the service: Specifically, using your location to curate a localized list of radio stations.
- To manage your account: Such as saving your bookmarked favorite stations locally on your device using secure storage methods.
- To improve our App: By analyzing anonymous usage data to understand how the App is used and to fix technical issues.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We only share information in the following situations:
- With your consent: We may share data if you have explicitly given us permission to do so.
- For legal reasons: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
- Third-Party Service Providers: We use third-party libraries (such as
geolocator, dio, and audio services) to help power the App. These services may have access to the data necessary to perform their functions but are obligated not to disclose or use it for other purposes.
4. Data Storage and Security
RadioHub utilizes encrypt_shared_preferences to ensure that data stored locally on your device (such as your bookmarked stations and settings) is kept secure. However, please remember that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
5. Your Choices and Permissions
You have control over your data:
- Location Permissions: You can enable or disable location access at any time through your device's settings. If you disable location permissions, RadioHub will still function, but the "nearest station" sorting feature will be unavailable.
- Local Storage: You can clear your bookmarked stations and app data by clearing the App's cache/storage in your device settings or by uninstalling the App.
6. Children's Privacy
Our App does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
8. Contact Us
